Is there another lab besides Shiel that does this test?? I’m having trouble calling Shiel. Nobody seems to be able to help me when I call, and also how would this work if I live in California??

Any other labs that offer oxidized LDL? And preferably in Southern Cal? And how much does this cost??

Much appreciated

Kam

Can this test be done remotely or do you have to show up in one of their locations?

Could you please clarify? For example, is the ideal ratio no greater than 2:1? etc. I don’t understand the whole number.Thank you so much.

80 Very High Risk

If I have Oxidized LDL of 90 (very high risk) and HDL of, say, 90, the ratio is 1 – low risk.

If I have If I have Oxidized LDL of 90 (very high risk) and HDL of, say, 45, the ratio is 2 – low risk.

Perhaps this isn’t really a ratio.

This is a great article. I just finished a year of chemo and I did six weeks radiation for a brain tumour I had. I took Usana all through treatments except two days before i took my chemo pills and two days after. I know Usana is what kept me feeling so good. I have had all good MRI reports. I was wondering what you recommend I take now that I am all done?

Comment on Can Nutritional Supplements, Including Lithium Orotate Help Autism? by Susie http://www.laddmcnamara.net/autism-and-support-with-nutritional-supplements-including-lithium-orotate/#comment-12471 Tue, 26 May 2015 16:19:53 +0000 http://www.laddmcnamara.net/?p=1196#comment-12471 Hi,

I have my son with Asperger’s on lithium orotate. He is 12. I’m wondering about your dosage recommendation in general. The dosages you list, are they for elemental lithium? Most bottles list mg of lithium orotate and mg of elemental lithium orotate. The elemental is what is important.

Thank you,

Susie

My son NEVER had Amox before he was diagnosed with PDD at a year old, (which was later changed to Autism at the age of 3).
He DID have a bunch of vaccines that the Dr’s really pushed for, which I wish I hadn’t given him (I mean REALLY, what’s the chance of him getting Hepatitis, a Sexually transmitted disease!)
Try the Lithium Orotate, along with Fish Oil, I found that it worked wonders for my son.

And, I was not pleased (and neither was Molly) about that lab, so I no longer refer people there. I am now referring people to get their oxidized LDL (actually, the “Oxidized LDL Triple Marker Test”) from Shiel Lab. Please contact them at http://www.shiel.com, and they will assist you in testing your oxidized LDL and true cardiovascular risk.
